Oud Essential Oil

INCI

Agarwood (Oud) Oil

SUMMARY

Agarwood, also known as Oud, is a highly prized and aromatic resinous wood sourced from the Aquilaria tree, mainly found in Southeast Asia. Agarwood essential oil is sourced through a meticulous and labor-intensive process of steam distillation from the resin-saturated heartwood. It is renowned for its rich and complex fragrance, often described as woody, sweet, and deep, and is widely used in perfumery and traditional medicine for its luxurious scent and potential therapeutic properties.

ORIGIN

Agarwood, also known as Oud, is sourced from the resin-infused heartwood of the Aquilaria tree, primarily found in Southeast Asia. This precious wood becomes resinous and fragrant as a result of a natural defense mechanism when the tree is infected by certain fungi or bacteria.

WARNING

Essential oils, when used in skincare, must be diluted to avoid skin irritation or adverse reactions. Use discretion and follow instructions on product labels.
