Caffeine

INCI

Caffeine

SUMMARY

Caffeine is a natural stimulant found in coffee beans, tea leaves and other plants. In skincare, caffeine is used to constrict blood vessels, reduce inflammation and temporarily improve the appearance of puffiness and dark circles when applied to skin. It's often found in eye creams and serums, where it can temporarily constrict blood vessels, diminish swelling and provide a more refreshed and awakened look.

ORIGIN

Caffeine is a naturally occurring compound found in the seeds, leaves and fruits of various plants, with coffee beans, tea leaves and cacao beans as some of the most well-known sources. It has a long history of use in beverages and has been cultivated and consumed for centuries in regions including Africa, Asia and South America.

SKIN TOLERANCE

Caffeine is generally well-tolerated on most skin, but it's recommended to conduct a patch test when using caffeine-infused products to check for any adverse reactions.
