Cedarwood Essential Oil

INCI

Juniperus Virginiana (Cedarwood) Wood Oil

SUMMARY

Cedarwood essential oil is a concentrated oil extracted from the wood of various cedar tree species, most commonly the Atlas cedar (Cedrus atlantica), Virginia cedar (Juniperus virginiana), or Himalayan cedar (Cedrus deodara). It is characterized by its warm, woody, and grounding aroma, and it is valued for its versatile applications in aromatherapy and skincare. Cedarwood essential oil is known for its potential to promote relaxation, support respiratory health, and help address skin concerns such as acne and dandruff when diffused, inhaled, or applied topically in a diluted form.

ORIGIN

Cedarwood essential oil is extracted from the wood of cedar trees, primarily the Eastern Red Cedar (Juniperus virginiana) found in North America, particularly the United States. Other species of cedar, such as Atlas cedar (Cedrus atlantica) and Himalayan cedar (Cedrus deodara), are also used to produce cedarwood oil.

WARNING

Essential oils, when used in skincare, must be diluted to avoid skin irritation or adverse reactions. Use discretion and follow instructions on product labels.
