SUMMARY

Chamomile essential oil is a highly concentrated oil extracted from the flowers of the chamomile plant, primarily the Roman chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile) or the German chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla). It is characterized by its gentle, sweet, and soothing aroma, and it is renowned for its calming and anti-inflammatory properties. Chamomile essential oil is commonly used in aromatherapy to reduce stress and anxiety, alleviate skin irritations, and promote relaxation when diffused or applied topically in a diluted form.

ORIGIN

Chamomile essential oil is extracted from the flowers of the chamomile plant. There are two primary species used for essential oil production: Matricaria chamomilla (German chamomile) and Anthemis nobilis (Roman chamomile). German chamomile is native to Europe, while Roman chamomile is native to the Mediterranean region.

WARNING

Essential oils, when used in skincare, must be diluted to avoid skin irritation or adverse reactions. Use discretion and follow instructions on product labels.
