SUMMARY

Cinnamon essential oil is a potent aromatic oil extracted from the bark or leaves of various cinnamon tree species, with Cinnamomum verum (true cinnamon) and Cinnamomum cassia being common sources. It is characterized by its spicy, warm, and inviting scent and is prized for its diverse applications in aromatherapy and culinary practices. Cinnamon essential oil is known for its potential to boost mood, improve circulation, and offer mild antibacterial properties when diffused, inhaled, or used topically in a diluted form.

ORIGIN

Cinnamon essential oil is sourced from the bark or leaves of the cinnamon tree, with two primary varieties: Cinnamomum zeylanicum (Ceylon or true cinnamon) and Cinnamomum cassia (cassia cinnamon). Ceylon cinnamon is native to Sri Lanka and southern India, while cassia cinnamon is native to China and other parts of Southeast Asia.

WARNING

Essential oils, when used in skincare, must be diluted to avoid skin irritation or adverse reactions. Use discretion and follow instructions on product labels.
