Olive Oil

INCI

Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil

SUMMARY

Olive oil is a natural oil that's extracted from olives, the fruit of the olive tree. It has been used for centuries in various cultures for both culinary and medicinal purposes. In skincare, olive oil is commonly used in creams and lotions and as well as natural and organic formulas. It's valued for its ability to hydrate and soothe irritated skin and improve overall skin texture. Olive oil is used in facial cleansers and makeup removers because of its ability to dissolve makeup and impurities without stripping skin of its natural oils.

ORIGIN

Olive oil is primarily produced in countries surrounding the Mediterranean Sea like Spain, Italy, Greece and Turkey, with Spain being one of the largest producers in the world.

SKIN TOLERANCE

Olive oil is generally well-tolerated on skin, but it can potentially clog pores in some.
